La Viuda is a small 5.5 hectares farm located in the heart of the Andes mountain range. Wilmer’s family bought this beautiful land from a woman in the mid 70’s that had just lost her husband in the guerrilla conflict. The farm’s name “La Viuda” translates to widow, which was their way to remember the sad story behind this land and to honour it with hard work and dedication. Wilmer and his 2 older sons are tireless workers that have never stopped experimenting with new ways of improving the quality of their coffee. Their main focus for the last 2 years has been taking care of the post-harvest process and preparing the trees for the next harvest with an excellent result as you can see in this balanced and fruity coffee.
This is a smooth creamy cup of coffee with wholesome notes of chocolate and dried fruits. One of the best finds we have had in the new year because of it's rich unpretentious profile. The perfect option to sit back and enjoy by yourself.
