Coffee Sampling
We establish direct trade relationships with coffee farmers to maintain consistent quality and traceability. Our expert team handles and reviews c.30-50 coffee samples every quarter, adhering to industry standards to select only the highest quality beans for roasting and delivering exceptional coffee to our customers.

Cupping coffee is a critical tool for a coffee roaster, allowing us to evaluate the quality and flavour of our coffee. By tasting different roasts side by side, we can identify strengths and weaknesses in our coffee and make adjustments to achieve the desired flavour profile. Cupping also allows us to monitor the consistency of our roasted coffee over time and ensure that every batch meets our high quality standards.

One of the most important tools we use is a density meter, which allows us to measure the density of coffee beans to ensure consistent quality in each batch. We also use a moisture meter to monitor the moisture content of coffee beans, which can affect the flavour and aroma of the final product. Additionally, we may use a colour analyser to evaluate the colour of our roasted coffee beans, which can provide insight into the roast level and potential flavour profile.

As well as maintaining high levels of quality standards in our roasted coffee, we also follow innovation in the specialty coffee industry. Use of new technologies, such as computer-controlled roasting systems, allows for precise temperature and airflow control. We are also exploring new coffee processing methods with farmers, e.g. Koji fermentation method, and right roasting profiles for these unique beans. We also want to explore upcycling coffee waste and improving our sustainability practices, and look forward to sharing it with our customers.
